Homeopathy Consultation: What to Expect
Initial Consultations- Sequential/Integrative Homeopathy for Chronic Health Care.
Whether in person or on the phone, an initial consultation meeting with your homeopath takes about 1.5 hours. The cost for an initial consultation is $325.00 plus remedies. Remedy costs for the initial consultation are in addition to the consultation fee. These costs will vary widely depending upon the health conditions presenting, but a range to expect could be an additional $400-600 in the initial, since we must provide everything necessary to start the process in that consultation. The average complete cost of an initial consultation plus remedies averages about $750-850. The key to homeopathy is individualization, hence it is difficult to give more than a realistic, but very wide range for remedy costs. The more the needs, the greater the costs, as with any area of health.
In the offices you will meet in one of our comfortable, welcoming consultation rooms. For those with young children, we ask that you not bring your child for the initial consult. We have a large amount of material to cover and want to be able to answer all your questions. It becomes a long time for a child to wait. We love to meet with your child at the first follow up consult. We have a separate child-friendly consultation room complete with books, toys, paper and crayons for their entertainment while we meet with the adult caretakers.
Appointments are usually set for the next consultation by your practitioner, or our front desk staff. We advise that you set the next appointment to allow for maximum choices, and to avoid last minute scrambles to avoid getting “out of sync” with the packet timing for the next appointment. It is often difficult to get in on short notice, since we usually have very full schedules.
Your remedies will be prepared and you may pick them up the afternoon of the next business day, or we can mail them to your home for a shipping and handling fee. Most of our clients have found that they prefer the convenience of this method of delivery, even when they live in Houston. Our remedy processing typically takes until the afternoon of the next business day. Due to the complexity of the system, we want to be sure to have the time to pull your items correctly, double check to avoid mistakes, and be certain that your invoice is complete and correct, and this does take time. However, if same day service is ever requested we can provide this, but must charge a rush fee to cover the extra employee time required so that we won’t hold up anyone’s orders unduly.
Fees and remedy costs for an initial professional consultation for chronic illness will usually run between $550 and $800, depending upon the needs determined during the consultation. This is NOT "one-size fits all medicine", therefore there may be a fairly wide range of costs. Every person is individual, every case is individual, and there is no way to tell you exactly what will be required until we have visited with you at length.
Acute Care- New Client Relationship Establishment
We also provide family acute care for simple problems such as cold & flu or minor injury healing enhancement. We offer a "well-person initial" to establish a relationship with our professionals. This is a 30 minute initial interview, before you are ill, and is offered for $120 per person. This allows us to get to know you, and make ourselves available on short notice when you become ill.
If you have a current acute illness, we offer a new client acute initial for 45 minutes to 1 hour at $200 plus remedies. This is on a space available basis.
Follow-up Consultations
Usually the professional consultation will be scheduled for 1/2 hour, for our regular, monthly clients. The cost for a 30 minute follow up consultation is $110. We will then require about another 2 hours for preparation of your remedy order. Again, this is individualized, and it takes us this long to prepare most remedy orders. Please understand that we greatly value both your time and your health. But good health takes time, so do yourself the favor of allowing these 2 hours for us to provide you with accurate service. Your total costs of a follow-up consultation will approximate $400-600 for chronic illness/sequential/integrated homeopathy or $200-$300 for most simple acute care, including remedies and consultation fee. Again, this is dependent ultimately on your needs for supportive remedies.
